The JessEm Mast-R-Lift™ was originally designed to be used with the removable 3HP motor from a fixed base Porter Cable 7518. Then we offered adaptor collars for the smaller 2HP motor diameters to fit our Mast-R-Lift™ carriage. The problem for many 2HP router users has been the cost of a Mast-R-Lift™ plus the adaptor collar exceeds the price of their 2HP router. As much as they wanted to experience the benefits of a precision height adjustment system they could not justify the price. Now we have a great solution, the Rout-R-Lift FX™ for 2 HP fixed base router motors. Now you get all the great benefits of a Mast-R-Lift™ at a 2HP price. The Rout-R-Lift FX™ offers above the table height adjustment and bit changes as well as the unsurpassed accuracy of a JessEm Lift. The Rout-R-Lift FX™ offers comparable quality and performance at a very affordable price. Our new cam-lock clamp design works great for quick and easy Plug"N"Rout motor changes, the Rout-R-Lift FX™ is fast becoming the "Ultimate Base" for interchangeable 2HP router motors.

Our new speed crank handle design offers a tall handle for clearing the top of the fence. Turning the removable handle with its quick speed knob is all you need to do to adjust the height of your router

Like all JessEm Lifts our carriage shafts are precision ground and pressed into shaft mounts using hydraulic pressure, not just bolted to the plate. Our shaft mounts are held to the plate with (3) socket head screws spread equally around the shaft mount to ensure the plate and the shafts are rigidly conectedconnectedconnected together to overcome any lateral forces caused by routing. They are engineered to provide the most rigid mount for your router. This is an extra step but worthwhile to provide the most rigid set up and years of dependable service

The drive spindle on the Rout-R-Lift FX™ is precision turned on a CNC lathe after assembly to ensure it is running true. The spindle runs on an oilite thrust bearing on top and an oilite flange bearing on the bottom, The whole spindle assembly is then attached to the Mast-R-Lift™ with our spindle mounting block and (4) socket head screws. To ensure there is no up or down play in the spindle the whole assembly is assembled with pressure on the spindle bearing surfaces with a conical spring washer.
