"What comes in the box," could be better explained. Yes you get a link belt and two rolls of sand paper. Plus it comes with 220 sand paper on the drum to assist in initial set up.
I inspected it very closely out of the box as I hung the motor on it. No damage, however it looked like maybe it was a a little rough handle in shipping. When you take the top off look at the bearing brackets one of mine was twisted and putting excessive pressure on the bearing. Also the shaft of the drum was slid too far in a direction that the drum would have gouged the top. Non of this was a big deal just loosen the shaft collars, pulley and bearing clamps and tap it back into place. I aligned the pulleys with a length of 1/2 key stock and tightened everything down.
I hung a 1/2 hp sealed motor on it 120/230v . It is a bit large but it fit. After a bit of back and forth height adjustments. It runs great everything works as advertised.
One last thing. Thank your for using just US standard fasteners, even the allen set screws are US size. Don't we just hate new tools manufactured with both metric and US fastener sizes. (Posted on 11/5/11)
